Mayor Nicholas E. Hunter and the City of Lake Charles Mayor’s Armed Forces Commission (MAFC) will host the 16th Annual Patriot’s Ball on Saturday, June 29, in the Grand Ballroom at L’Auberge Casino Resort.

The event is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. with a social hour. The Patriot’s Ball serves as the main annual fundraising event for MAFC, which supports area veterans and patriotic projects and activities.

Dinner will commence at 6 p.m., during which MAFC will honor four individuals from Southwest Louisiana for their patriotic service to the community. Awards include Civilian Patriot of the Year, Emergency Responder Patriot of the Year, Military Patriot of the Year, and a posthumous recognition for a Patriot of the Year.

Entertainment for the evening will be provided by local DJ Leauxcal, who will perform immediately after the presentations.
