On Saturday, August 17, 2024, the City of Lake Charles and Sasol’s Nature in Focus Initiative will return with a free event titled "It’s a Bug’s Life." The event is scheduled to take place from 9 – 11 am at Tuten Park (3810 Nelson Rd.).
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on educational activities to learn more about various insects. Interactive live displays will provide an up-close look at beetles and bugs. After viewing the live displays, participants can explore Tuten Park’s back trails to observe these insects in their natural habitat.
The event is free and open to the public and is hosted in partnership with Sasol and the Southwest Louisiana Master Naturalists. Nature in Focus is a signature program of Sasol and is part of the City’s Partners in Parks Initiative.
