There were 1,122 students enrolled in Cameron Parish School District schools in the 2021-22 school year, 6% less than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Out of the total students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 52.4% of them were boys, and 47.6% were girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, representing 88.8% of the Cameron Parish School District total enrollment.

Among the five schools in Cameron Parish School District, Grand Lake Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 335 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The majority of Louisiana students were identified as white and Black, representing 48% and 37% of the state student body respectively during the 2021-22 academic year. Hispanic students made up 8.6% of the student body, and other ethnic minorities made up 5.6%.
