Congressman Clay Higgins has voted in favor of H. Con. Res. 14, a budget resolution aimed at furthering President Trump's agenda through the reconciliation process.
"One of the greatest threats to America’s future is financial collapse," stated Congressman Higgins. "The budget resolution passed today, while not perfect, is a step toward enacting President Trump’s America First agenda. We are taking action to change the trajectory of spending, secure our borders, and restore economic prosperity."
The resolution outlines $2 trillion in deficit reduction and allocates up to $300 billion for border security and defense. It also enables the House Ways and Means Committee to extend tax cuts from 2017 and aims to prevent tax increases on working Americans. Additionally, it raises the debt ceiling to promote stability and encourage steady economic growth.
