Due to icy conditions remaining on some roadways and for the safety of our personnel, City of Lake Charles trash and garbage collection will not take place today, Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
Crews are scheduled to resume these efforts; weather permitting, on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, with the following schedule:
- Trash and garbage normally picked up on Mondays will be picked up on Wednesday, January 17, 2024.
- Trash and garbage normally picked up on Tuesdays will be picked up on Thursday, January 18, 2024.
- Trash and garbage normally picked up on Thursdays will be picked up on Friday, January 19, 2024.
- Trash and garbage normally picked up on Fridays will be picked up on Saturday, January 20, 2024.
- The Nelson Road/Alma Lane, Team Green Recycling Truck and Solid Waste Incinerator are closed today, Tuesday, January 16, 2024, and are scheduled to resume operations; weather permitting, tomorrow, Wednesday, January 17, 2024.
