Derrick Branch is seeking the office of Beauregard Parish District 3B Police Juror during the elections on October 14th and will be confronted with voter concerns over the economy and education if elected. Supporters and endorsers of Branch's campaign believe that he is the right candidate to tackle these issues.

According to a recent survey of Louisiana likely voters conducted by KTBS 3 in August 2023, low quality of education was identified as one of the two biggest problems facing the state. This highlights the importance of addressing education concerns in Beauregard Parish.

Economic issues are also a top concern for voters. The same survey covered this topic and found that 41 percent of respondents believed that improving the business climate by cutting taxes and red tape is key to growing the economy. Meanwhile, 33 percent said that improving the quality of life is the best approach, and 20 percent emphasized the need to develop a skilled workforce through technical education.

Branch's campaign has received an endorsement from RED PAC, a group dedicated to electing conservatives at the local level. Kevin Gardner, the group's executive director, praised Branch's commitment to fiscal responsibility and local development. Gardner believes that Branch's conservative beliefs and dedication to the community make him the top choice to serve Beauregard Parish.

Charlie Kolean, RED PAC's chief strategist, added that Branch would stand firm on his conservative beliefs and prioritize the interests of the community.

The elections in Beauregard Parish, including the Police Jury Board elections, will take place on Saturday, October 14, according to KPLC News. The police jurors elected will serve a four-year term. Branch is running for the seat in District 3B and is running as an unaffiliated candidate, although he has the endorsement of conservative groups.

If elected, Branch will join the police jury board, which functions as both a legislative and administrative body. Their responsibilities include enacting ordinances, setting policy, preparing the budget, and determining how money is spent.

As the elections approach, voters in Beauregard Parish are looking for a candidate who will address their concerns over education and the economy. Derrick Branch, with his endorsements and commitment to the community, is positioning himself as the right person for the job.
