Team Green-Keep Greater Lake Charles Beautiful is preparing to host its second annual Christmas Tree Recycling event. The event will take place on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Nelson Ball Field/Alma Lane Recycling Station.

Residents are invited to participate by bringing their live Christmas trees to the event. Trees should be free of all decorations, lights, and tinsel for this drive-and-drop initiative.

The collected trees will be recycled into mulch for future city beautification projects.

This recycling effort is organized in partnership with Vermeer Texas Louisiana and M&M Lawn & Irrigation.

For further details, residents can call (337) 491-1280 or email. Updates about the City of Lake Charles can be found by visiting and following their channels.
