The City of Lake Charles, in collaboration with Sasol’s Nature in Focus Initiative and the Southwest Louisiana Master Naturalists, is organizing a Halloween Bat Walk at Drew Park. The event is scheduled for Friday, October 25, from 6 to 8 pm.

Participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather and bring flashlights as they explore the park in search of bats. This guided walk aims to educate attendees with interesting facts about bats, including their ability to consume up to 1,200 mosquitoes in an hour. Additionally, it offers a chance to learn about other natural elements present within Drew Park.

The event is free and open to the public. For further details, interested individuals can call 337-491-1280 or send an email.
