On October 30, 2024, residents have the opportunity to attend two Lock Park Visioning Workshops. These sessions will be held at the Lake Charles City Council Chambers located at 326 Pujo St. The workshops are scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. and again from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The workshops are presented by the City of Lake Charles in collaboration with LyondellBasell and Carbo Landscape Architects. They aim to offer the community a chance to view a presentation on plans for transforming Lock Park into a fully accessible playground, ensuring it is suitable for families of all abilities.

This transformation project is made possible through the LC REBOUND tax-neutral bond proposition, which was approved by voters last fall, along with a significant contribution from LyondellBasell as part of the City's Partners in Parks Initiative.

For further details about LC REBOUND, individuals can visit www.cityoflakecharles.com/LCREBOUND.
