City of Lake Charles announces Art in the Park session at I-10 North Beach

The City of Lake Charles Partners in Parks Initiative and the Imperial Calcasieu Museum Residency at the Museum Program are collaborating for another installment of the City's 2024 Art in the Park Series.

The upcoming session will take place at I-10 North Beach on Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 9-11 am. In addition to painting on canvas, attendees will have opportunities to experiment with sand art and participate in sandcastle making.

Artists currently in residence at the Imperial Calcasieu Museum will provide art instruction. The City of Lake Charles will supply art materials and easels through its Partners in Parks Initiative.

A DJ will be present to provide musical entertainment along with games and prizes. The City of Lake Charles Recreation staff will offer sno cones. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and prepare for a fun-filled day.

Lake Charles Coca-Cola is partnering with the City for this event by providing beverages to all artists.
