City of Lake Charles hosts Art in the Park at I-10 North Beach

The City of Lake Charles Partners in Parks Initiative and the Imperial Calcasieu Museum Residency at the Museum Program are collaborating for another installment of the City’s 2024 Art in the Park Series.

The upcoming session will take place at I-10 North Beach on Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 9 to 11 a.m.

In addition to painting on canvas, attendees will have the opportunity to experiment with sand art and participate in sandcastle making.

A DJ will be present, providing musical entertainment along with fun, games, and prizes. The City of Lake Charles Recreation staff will offer sno-cones. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and umbrellas.

Artists currently in residence at the Imperial Calcasieu Museum will provide art instruction. Art supplies and easels will be provided by the City of Lake Charles through its Partners in Parks Initiative.

Lake Charles Coca-Cola is also partnering with the City for this event, offering refreshing beverages to all participants.
