On Saturday, March 16, 2024, the City of Lake Charles will host a special Partners in Parks Team Green Family Fun Day from 10 am – noon, on the Lake Charles Event Center grounds (900 Lakeshore Dr.), just north of Millennium Park.
"The event will kick-off with a special announcement from Mayor Nic Hunter at 10:15 am, to re-launch officially the City’s Team Green Keep Greater Lake Charles Beautiful Initiative," said Mayor Nic Hunter.
The community is invited to attend and stick around for a fun-filled morning of activities, including a kid-friendly, hands-on interaction with equipment and trucks, games, prizes, and refreshments. Participants will also have the opportunity to make crafts out of recyclables and plant flowers they can take home!
Additional partners for this event include the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, Coca-Cola, Waste Management, and the Southwest Louisiana Economic Development Alliance.
