McNeese Football to Host “Victory Day” For Special Needs Children

The McNeese State University football team will host its first  “Victory Day” in Cowboy Stadium Tuesday, Aug. 9, from 9-11 a.m. This  event will provide cognitively and physically impaired children ages  8-18 the opportunity to play football or cheer, as well as participate  in several game-day activities.

Participants will be partnered up with a McNeese football player or  cheerleader who will serve as their mentor for the day. They will also  receive a Victory Day T-shirt and medal at the end of the event.

Check in begins at 8 a.m. and parents must stay with their child  during the duration of the event. To register or for more information,  contact Phillip Ely at Pely@mcneese.edu.
