Cost of college went up for all students at Stage One-The Hair School

Tuition and fees rose 1.3 percent for 2018-19 at Stage One-The Hair School, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Louisiana students paid $15,800 to attend the private for-profit school this year – $200 more than the $15,600 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 95 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 31 students received grants or scholarships totaling $141,215 and 32 students took out student loans totaling more than $164,547.

Including all undergraduates (81), 81 students used grants or scholarships totaling $375,240, and 69 students took out $383,809 in federal student loans.
