City Solid Waste Crews and a storm debris removal contractor are collaborating to clear residential vegetative storm debris left in the aftermath of the severe weather that struck on April 10, 2024. As per official directives, residents are urged to place all vegetative storm debris by the curb promptly to facilitate the collection process. The collection efforts are set to span the next two weeks.

In a bid to streamline operations, residents are requested to refrain from obstructing sidewalks, storm drains, and drainage ditches with their debris piles. The service for debris pick-up is exclusively available for owner-occupied residential properties. It has been specified that any debris cleared by a contractor under a paid agreement with the property owner must be hauled away by the contractor themselves.

The types of debris permissible for curbside pick-up encompass bagged leaves, grass clippings, weeds, branches, shrubbery, vines, and limbs. Notably, limbs need to be trimmed to a length of 4 feet or less and should have a diameter of less than 4 inches. Any items exceeding 50 pounds, such as significant tree stumps, are ineligible for pick-up.

For queries related to debris or to report any overlooked debris, residents are encouraged to reach out by dialing 337-491-1220.
