Two McNeese State University faculty and four staff members have received the 2022 President’s Awards for Excellence.
These annual awards are sponsored by First Horizon Bank as part of its $100,000 commitment to several McNeese programs and initiatives.
The awards are for employees in both academic and non-academic areas. Faculty awards recognize excellence in teaching, creative or artistic activity that brings recognition to the university, research and campus and community service. Staff awards recognize excellence in customer service, campus leadership and community service.
Receiving faculty awards were: Bill Rose, associate professor of music in the W.A. and Dorothy Hanna Department of Performing Arts; and Dr. Joanna Thompson, assistant professor of psychology in the Department of Psychology and Counseling.
Receiving staff awards were: April Broussard, operations director for the Kay Doré Counseling Clinic and the McNeese Autism Program; Ashley LaHood, Licensed Practical Nurse in Student Health Services; Wesley LeJeune, assistant director of institutional effectiveness in the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness; and Kandy Warren, administrative coordinator 3, in the Office of Purchasing.
