On Wednesday, March 12, former Welsh High School standout Parker Primeaux’s current college team, the McNeese State Cowboys, won 4-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns.
The game took place at M. L. Tigue Moore Field at Russo Park. This was their second matchup against the Ragin’ Cajuns this season.
The Cowboys’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 14 at 6 p.m. at Joe Miller Ballpark against Lamar Cardinals.

Goosport Park in Lake Charles will host a Halloween event on Friday, October 31, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The City of Lake Charles Department of Community Services is organizing the event through its Partners in Parks initiative.
