Congressman Clay Higgins has aligned with the House Freedom Caucus (HFC) to introduce the Emergency Border Control Resolution. This budget proposal is designed to initiate the reconciliation process and further the America First agenda.
“The House Freedom Caucus has hammered out this strategy over the course of months. The details of our bill have been heavily examined and perfected for weeks by many experts. If my Republican colleagues expect to actually deliver President Trump’s Golden Era agenda for the American people, this budget resolution is the illuminated path,” Congressman Higgins stated.
The HFC's "218 Plan" includes provisions for $200 billion in new funding aimed at rebuilding America's military, securing borders, and addressing immigration issues. It also suggests cutting $486 billion from what it describes as failed policies under President Biden, aiming for a deficit reduction of $286 billion over a decade. Additionally, it proposes raising the debt ceiling by $4 trillion to ensure long-term stability and prevent Democrats from using it against President Trump.
