Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) has voted to pass H.R. 8281, the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act. This legislation mandates proof of citizenship for voter registration in federal elections and allows states to remove non-citizens from voter rolls. Congressman Higgins is an original co-sponsor of the bill.
"Only American citizens should vote in federal elections," stated Congressman Higgins. "Our inaugurated President has put our nation at risk with his open border policies and weak voter registration laws. I oppose his agenda to enable voting by illegal aliens. Every American Patriot should stand up and demand election integrity."
