The City of Lake Charles Partners in Parks Initiative and CHRISTUS Ochsner Health Southwestern Louisiana are collaborating to host a Community Health Fair on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Drew Park. The event, scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon, aims to promote health and well-being within the community.

"Families are invited to join CHRISTUS Ochsner Health Southwestern Louisiana associates for CPR education, blood pressure screenings, cessation education, genetic testing and more," said the organizers.

In addition to the health-related activities, various partners will be present to enhance the event experience. These partners include the Children's Miracle Network, Families for Inclusion, Healthy Blue, and Acadian Ambulance.

Participants can look forward to a range of family-friendly activities such as tours of the Acadian Ambulance unit, coloring sheets, rides on Chuck the Train, bingo, and a selfie station. The event will culminate with a community walk around Drew Park's walking trail, promoting physical activity and community engagement.

The Community Health Fair is open to the public, and those interested can contact 337-491-1280 for more information. This initiative is a testament to the commitment of both the City of Lake Charles and CHRISTUS Ochsner Health Southwestern Louisiana towards promoting a healthier community.
