The City of Lake Charles is inviting you and your organization to participate in the Annual Beach Sweep and Inland Waterway Cleanup scheduled for Saturday, September 16, 2023.
Volunteers will meet at 7:00 a.m. in the parking lot of Visit Lake Charles (1205 N. Lakeshore Dr.) for a pre-event briefing. Immediately following the briefing, and until 10:30 a.m., volunteers will collect trash and record their collections with data cards.
Beach Sweep and Inland Waterway Cleanup is an annual event held on the third Saturday in September in conjunction with the Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Cleanup.
Beach Sweep 2023 is sponsored by the City of Lake Charles, Westlake Corporation and Lake Charles Coca-Cola.
