2021-22 School Year Enrollment: 91 9th grade students welcomed in Cameron Parish schools

There were 91 ninth grade students enrolled in Cameron Parish schools in the 2021-22 school year, 4.6% more than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Grand Lake High School welcomed the most ninth grade students in the parish.

Within Cameron Parish schools, the most students were found in sixth grade classes, while fourth grade classes were the smallest.

Statewide, Cameron Parish ranked fifth lowest in enrollment numbers, the same as the year before.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
