There were 442 ninth grade students enrolled in Jefferson Davis Parish schools in the 2021-22 school year, 1.1% more than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Jennings High School welcomed the most ninth grade students in the parish.

Within Jefferson Davis Parish schools, the most students were found in ninth grade classes, while fifth grade classes were the smallest.

Statewide, Jefferson Davis Parish ranked 32nd highest in enrollment numbers. It was ranked 32nd lowest the year before.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
