McNeese Names New Vice President for Business Affairs

Mona White has been named vice president for business affairs at  McNeese State University. White has served as the university’s chief  financial officer since 2001 and was responsible for managing and  supervising all of the university’s accounting functions including  accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and cash management,  preparing annual fiscal reports and working with the Legislative  Auditor’s Office to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

“Ms. White is a tremendous asset to McNeese and I am pleased that she  is a member of the senior leadership team. She is an excellent  accountant and has a vast knowledge of higher education business affairs  as well as Louisiana policies and procedures for public entities,”  McNeese President Dr. Daryl Burckel said.

As vice president for business affairs, White will be responsible for  all administrative accounting and budget functions, the Office of Human  Resources and Student Employment, Office of Purchasing and Property  Control and the University Bookstore.

White has more than 30 years of financial and accounting experience  and worked in the health care industry before joining McNeese.

 “I am honored to be selected as the McNeese vice president for  business affairs,” White said following her confirmation by the Board of  Supervisors for the University of Louisiana System. “I am committed to  the McNeese mission and I am proud that the staff in the division of  business affairs lives our brand promise of providing ‘excellence with a  personal touch’ in every encounter with students, faculty and staff,”  White said.

White earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from McNeese.
