Census Bureau: More women than men in Iowa in 2019

Of the 3,225 people living in Iowa in 2019, 57.5 percent (1,854) were women and 42.5 percent (1,371) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the SW Louisiana News.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 988-to-704. In the 65 and over age range, there were 245 females and 155 males.
