Skatember will host a free outdoor skate night in Lake Charles on Friday, September 5, from 5 to 8 p.m. The event will take place on the Gill Street extension next to Millennium Park at the Lake Charles Event Center grounds, located at 900 Lakeshore Dr.
The evening features a country-western theme and welcomes participants with roller blades, roller skates, and non-motorized scooters. Skates will not be provided by organizers. Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes for the occasion.
Event guidelines specify that no weapons are allowed. All minors aged 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult during the event.
Concessions will be available for purchase. Music for the skate night will be broadcast by KBYS.
