On Thursday, April 3, former Alfred M. Barbe High School standout Gavin Guidry’s current college team, the LSU Tigers, won 2-0 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Oklahoma Sooners.
The game took place at L. Dale Mitchell Park. This was their first matchup against the Sooners this season.
The Tigers’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 4 at 6:30 p.m. at L. Dale Mitchell Park against Oklahoma Sooners.

Novice kayakers will have an opportunity to participate in a free instructional event at Riverside Park on Sunday, November 2.
Goosport Park in Lake Charles will host a Halloween event on Friday, October 31, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The City of Lake Charles Department of Community Services is organizing the event through its Partners in Parks initiative.
