On Sunday, April 13, former Welsh High School standout Parker Primeaux’s current college team, the McNeese State Cowboys, won 14-7 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Incarnate Word Cardinals.
The game took place at Sullivan Field. This was their third matchup against the Cardinals this season.
The Cowboys’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15 at 6:30 p.m. at Skip Bertman Field @ Alex Box Stadium against LSU Tigers.

Goosport Park in Lake Charles will host a Halloween event on Friday, October 31, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The City of Lake Charles Department of Community Services is organizing the event through its Partners in Parks initiative.
