On Sunday, April 13, former Sam Houston High School standout Erin Ardoin’s current college team, the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns, won 9-2 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the James Madison Dukes.
The game took place at Lamson Park. This was their third matchup against the Dukes this season.
The Ragin’ Cajuns’ next game is scheduled for Thursday, April 17 at 4 p.m. at Lamson Park against South Alabama Jaguars.

Novice kayakers will have an opportunity to participate in a free instructional event at Riverside Park on Sunday, November 2.
Goosport Park in Lake Charles will host a Halloween event on Friday, October 31, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The City of Lake Charles Department of Community Services is organizing the event through its Partners in Parks initiative.
