On Tuesday, April 8, the City of Lake Charles Community Services Department will start accepting online registrations for the Epic Adventure Summer Camp program for 2025. Registration will remain open until Saturday, May 3, 2025.

The camp caters to children aged 5-10, with limited space at each site. The eight-week program costs $350, covering two t-shirts along with daily breakfast and lunch. Camp sessions are scheduled from June 2 through July 25, between 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Camp will be closed on June 19 and July 4 due to holidays observed by the city.

Each week, children will experience different themes such as “Outta this World,” “Everyday Heroes,” “Where the Wild Things Are,” “Wild, Wild West,” “Party in the USA,” “Mission: STEM Possible,” “Lights, Camera, Action!” and “Splish, Splash, Bash.”

Camp locations include Bellard Community Center, College Oaks Community Center, Henry Heights Community Center, and Donald Ray Stevens Community Center. Mandatory camp t-shirts must be worn on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, with Wednesdays set as free dress days. Additional t-shirts are available for $10 each.

This year, thanks to Phillips 66’s support, campers can enjoy up to two swim days per week, promoting water safety and navigation skills in pools. These swim days are optional and come at no extra cost, with transportation provided by CPSB bus drivers.

A parent meeting is scheduled for the week of May 19-23, with more details provided upon registration completion. For additional information, parents can call (337) 491-1280 or email.
