Two meetings have been scheduled in Lake Charles on April 3 to gather community feedback for a developing Safety Action Plan. The events, set from 5-7 pm, will be held at two locations: the MLK Community Center (2009 North Simmons St.) and the University Park Community Center (1001 Central Parkway).

The City of Lake Charles is developing the Safety Action Plan with the goal of eliminating fatal and severe road incidents. This initiative is coordinated by the Alliance Transportation Group and funded by a US Department of Transportation Safe Streets for All grant.

Residents are encouraged to provide their input on the plan by visiting https://lakecharlesss4a.mysocialpinpoint.com/. Further updates about Lake Charles can be accessed at www.cityoflakecharles.com or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/LakeCharlesLouisiana.
