The City of Lake Charles has announced a Back-to-School Hygiene Products Drive to support local students. Community members are encouraged to donate new and unused hygiene items such as deodorant, bar soap, lotion, hairbrushes, combs, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, socks, and feminine hygiene products. Organizers prefer smaller or travel-sized items for easier storage and distribution.

Donations can be dropped off at Lake Charles City Hall at 326 Pujo St. during regular business hours from Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., starting August 25 through September 15.

All collected donations will be distributed by school personnel to students in need within the city’s schools.

For more information or updates about the drive and other city initiatives, residents can visit www.cityoflakecharles.com or follow the city’s social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram.
