The City of Lake Charles has announced the return of its annual Red, White, Blue & You Celebration, scheduled for Friday, July 4, 2025. This free event offers a variety of activities suitable for all ages throughout the day. Attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets to the Arcade Amphitheater for a patriotic concert, an Armed Forces Salute, food trucks, live music entertainment, and a fireworks finale over the lake.
Activities will take place at North Beach with games provided by Games2Life. The day’s events at the Arcade Amphitheater include a Hot Dog Cook Off starting at 3:30 p.m., followed by performances from Dani Lacour’s full band at 4:30 p.m., and a patriotic program featuring the Lake Charles Community Band at 6:15 p.m. L.A. ROXX will perform from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. At 9:00 p.m., attendees can enjoy a Glow Show near the First Federal Bank of Louisiana before watching fireworks over the lake at 9:15 p.m. The soundtrack for both shows will be simulcast on KBYS 88.3 FM.
Festival-goers can enjoy offerings from local food trucks, lemonade stands, and ice cream vendors. The City’s Parks and Recreation department will host Olympic-style games in Millennium Park from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., while festival t-shirts will be sold by the Mayor’s Armed Forces Commission Queens. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own seating and refreshments but are reminded that glass containers are prohibited. In case of bad weather, events will be relocated to the Event Center Coliseum.
The city also announced Trinity Tieu as the winner of this year’s Red, White, Blue & You logo design contest. Tieu is a student at SOWELA Technical Community College where this contest is part of a semester project led by instructor Darrell Buck.
