Lake Charles announces Great Green Scavenger Hunt for St. Patrick’s Day downtown

The City of Lake Charles announced on Mar. 9 that it will host the Downtown Lake Charles Great Green Scavenger Hunt, a free St. Patrick’s Day event for families and community members, on Saturday, March 14 from 1 to 4 p.m.

The event aims to bring together residents of all ages for a festive adventure in downtown Lake Charles. Participants can register in front of Lake Charles City Hall at 326 Pujo Street before setting off to follow clues hidden throughout the area. The city encourages everyone to wear green and join the search for clues, coins, and magical surprises left behind by a leprechaun.

According to the official history page, the City of Lake Charles reflects a diverse cultural heritage shaped by early settlers from various European backgrounds according to the official history page. The city operates under a Mayor-City Council structure with an appointed City Administrator managing daily operations according to the official website.
