The City of Lake Charles is partnering with the US Coast Guard Marine Safety Unit for an event titled “Wind, Waves and Wheels.” The event will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Veterans Memorial Park on Lakeshore Drive, from 10 am to 2 pm.

“Wind, Waves and Wheels” is part of the Partners in Parks series and is designed to provide a hands-on learning experience for families. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the US Coast Guard and explore the tools they use for service and protection.

The event will feature a small boat tour, a career Q&A, photo opportunities, interactive displays, and food trucks. The event is free and open to the public. Anyone seeking more information is encouraged to call 337-491-1280.
