The City of Lake Charles will not conduct trash or garbage collection on Good Friday, April 18, 2025.

Trash and garbage that are typically collected on Friday will instead be picked up on Saturday, April 19, 2025. Routes scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday will continue as usual.

The Team Green Recycling Truck and Green Station No. 2, located at Nelson Ball Field-Alma Lane, will also not be in operation on April 18, but services will resume on April 19. Moreover, the Incinerator will suspend operations on Good Friday, reopening on April 21.

Residents are reminded to place collection items before 7 a.m. on the day of collection or the evening prior, and to remove containers by 7 p.m. that day. Responsibility for collecting spillage from the containers rests with the owner, occupant, or tenant.

Additionally, City Hall and all Department of Public Works services will close on April 18 to observe Good Friday. Services will return to normal hours on April 21.
