The City of Lake Charles Community Services Department is organizing a themed skating event called Rollin’ in Plaid Skate Night. The event will take place on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Sudduth Coliseum, located at the Lake Charles Event Center.

Admission for the event is $5 per skater. Participants are encouraged to bring their own roller skates or rollerblades and wear flannel clothing. Skates will not be provided at the venue. According to organizers, minors aged 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult during the event.

Music for the evening will be provided by KBYS, who will play music throughout the night.

“Grab your roller skates or rollerblades, throw on your favorite flannel, and get ready to skate to fun beats! Skates will not be provided, and minors 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. KBYS will spin all the tunes to make sure everyone passes a great time,” stated event organizers.
