Novice kayakers will have an opportunity to participate in a free instructional event at Riverside Park on Sunday, November 2. The City of Lake Charles, in partnership with Bayou Glamping and Lake Charles Coca-Cola, is organizing “Kayaking for Beginners” from 3 to 5 p.m.
The event is designed for those new to kayaking. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own kayak and life jackets, but there will be a limited supply available for those who do not have equipment.
According to the organizers, “The lessons are free and participants are invited to bring their own kayak and life jackets and launch at Riverside Parks kayak launch. A limited number of kayaks and life jackets are available for those who need them.”
