The City of Lake Charles Community Services Department, in collaboration with the Lake Charles Yacht Club, is organizing a series of Winds-Day Night Watch Parties. These events will take place every Wednesday in May, starting from May 14. The gatherings will be held at I-10 North Beach.

Residents and visitors are invited to watch the weekly sailboat races organized by the Lake Charles Yacht Club. Gates for the event will open at 5:30 pm, with races commencing at 6 pm. The organizers will provide popcorn and refreshments along with bleacher seating. Attendees are welcome to bring personal beach chairs and blankets; however, glass items are not allowed.
