On Saturday, March 8, 2025, the City of Lake Charles and Calcasieu Parish Public Library will host the “Book it to the Park” event as part of their Partners in Parks Series. The pop-up library will be held at Hillcrest Park, located at 2808 Hillcrest Dr., from 9-11 am.

Participants can enjoy various activities including a story walk, scavenger hunt, prize giveaways, and rides on Chuck the Train. The event is free and open to the public.
